Taay Taay's Graduation Gift (First Car)

Taay Taay's Graduation Gift, First Car. I sold my 4-wheeler so that I could buy Taay Taay his first car. Why? He is a great kid that worked really extremely hard to be one of the few that graduated from his class..against all odds. During this time he also kept his family together (after losing father) and stayed away from drinking and drugs.. Hopes? Yea, I hope that learning to drive will open a lot of doors for him and inspire him to dream big. I want to send a big thank you out to all of the people who helped make the car all Taay Taay dreamed of: My brother Erik and his friend in Chicago--spent two days buffing, painting, cleaning, and installing a new stereo. My neighbors up in Anchorage (Josh, Seri, and Kevin) for doing a final detail, putting seat covers, decals, repairing dog damage, and installing cool lights. Taay Taay's words "THIS IS MY CAR!! IT'S SOO COOL, I CAN'T BELIEVE IT!" This said at 2AM, kid half asleep from flight. Photos are from exact moment he saw car...he hates smiling for photos but can't hide the smile here.. THANKS EVERYONE! I never knew that a Ford Escort could bring so much happiness.

Summer Cross Country Driving Trip-June 07

Below are random picts of my mega cross country driving journey June 07. I flew down to Denver, Colorado, baught Taay Taay's car and drove it to Michigan and then back to Alaska, seeing as much (as many people) as I could along the way. Total blast! Both this blog and my Marquette Blog entry are from the same trip. It was great making new friends and seeing everyone!

All Hail Kenny The Great!! Been in love with the man since I was 16 years old. "smile" Forget the fact that he is Christmas for me, the guy is the supreme lady killer... "Lady, I'm your night in shining armor and I love you, you have made me what I am and I'm...yours".. melting...I'm melting... "smile..

Volunteering at the Comstock Music Fest. Due to my Alaska Celebrity Status, I moved from parking cars to taking the stars from their buses to the stage in the golf carts (in 3 days). Nebraskans, in my book, are all right!

Awaiting the pick up of the performer on stage..It was 98 degrees and this was only shade to be had at the festival, but the exciting part was that I was sitting in the exact seat that Kenny was (as he was driven to the stage) the night before..big smile.
