Bush Program Ski Event 08

This year's Bush Program was a huge success, thanks to all my good friends at Challenge who supported me (and the program) through a very tough year! The Bush Program would not be as awesome as it is without the amazing staff and volunteers that make it all happen. Look at these smiles, we must be doing something right!! We had 6 kids fly in from Akiak, we focused on the life skills of Integrity, Courage, Perseverance and Respect. Night time activities included "Reflection and Teamwork Tasks." A quick health care mini lesson was also presented. Many volunteers stated the Bush Ski Program event was their favorite of the year, that is great to hear! This season was dedicated to Tom Beatty, without his encouragement, dedication to the kids of rural AK and assistance in grant writing, these kids wouldn't have made it to Alyeska this season. THANKS TOM, Your still making it happen!!
